STATION OWNER

Hi, my name is Paul, I've been on three other online radio station before; this is the second station I have owned and so far, so good. The presenters we have on this station have a lot of knowledge about radio presenting, some of our presenters have been on FM radio stations. How can I put this we are all like one big happy family on this station. We have only been on air since the 11th of April 2023. Myself I love all genres of music from the 40's to the present day but the music I love the most is reggae followed by love songs.

Hey there, I am Sy or” Smurf or Smurfy” as part of many nicknames I have! I have been a Radio Presenter and been in various Radio management roles for about 5 years now. I have also been a DJ for 17 years along with working in the Security Services Sector for 19 years working for High Profile companies Bird’s eye, BMW, and Coca Cola. I love Music from the 70’s 80’s 90’s dance and Remix’s which I hope to implement that in my shows and give a nice variation of genre’s. I used to be a dancer which started at the age of 4 years old so that is where I fell in love with music, especially Michael Jackson!!! I can be a bit cheeky at times and I like a good laugh but away from the microphone I can be a bit shy until I feel comfortable. Concentrating on the show let’s have fun, plenty of music to enjoy and “LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE”!!!!

Hi, I'm Laura and I'm your Station Manager! I live in Lichfield, Staffordshire. I've been a massive fan of music since I was 5 years old. Before joining SparkFlame Radio, I was with another online radio station. I have had presenting experience since 2020. I love all types and decades of music, but my favourite era is the 90's, as I was really into the dance music scene and Britpop scene.

In my spare time, I enjoy going to see local live artists and going to concerts. I also enjoy going to the gym, watching films, and eating out.

You can listen to my show on Monday evenings at 9pm. I hope you enjoy it! x

So, join me Saturday morning to at 6.00am -8.00 for mixed bag of music from 70s, 80s, and today.

ALAN WILKINSON

Alan (big Al) Wilkinson as I'm also known as. Worked for peak FM doing full match commentary on chesterfield FC. Worked at spire radio in chesterfield and currently at elastic FM local community radio station. Grew up in the two finest decades of music 60/70s. My main music is Floyd zeppelin purple Sabbath free etc. But enjoy all types of music. Outside of radio I'm retired but football keeps me busy. Holidaying abroad (Benidorm). One life live it is my motto. Currently on weekend finale 9/11 Sunday night.

CHRIS DUNN

Presenter Chris Dunn Bio: Born in the United Kingdom 1960, currently resides in Lincoln, by profession I am a Train Driver. I have a passion for Reggae Music, which I guess became known in the early 70's hearing artists like The Pioneers/ Bob & Marcia /Jimmy Cliff/ Desmond Dekker/ Dave & Ansel Collins appear on top of the pops or played on the UK'S singles charts. I also at the time worked on a factory production line where everyday music was piped through the works Tanoy system including Reggae/ Soca / Calypso music. At this time, my elder Jamaican friend, Michael Alphonso Smith, asked if I wanted to join him in a venture doing mobile discos, he had the equipment, and I had the transport. But all was not as it seemed as it turned out we only did private Jamaican House Parties, where I learnt how to DJ from a master. Eventually I started my own mobile disco and gained a residency at my local working man's club in Penge, South London getting the crowds dancing before, during and after live bands who played at the weekends. Late 80's I packed it in, and it was not until moving to Lincoln and joining the works Welfare Committee that I provided the music at work related events. In 2012 I joined my local Community Radio Station and presented a 3-hour live 70's show, in 2018 I switched to It being a Reggae Show. In 2019 work commitments prevented me presenting the live show and the station did not want a pre-recorded show. Then out the blue I was contacted by an Internet Radio Station, a previous presenter at the station had left as well and recommended my show. I joined and within a year was on twenty-five stations being broadcasted in Africa, America, Amsterdam. Australia, Cambodia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, Spain, South America. and listened to around the world.

Bob A Baker Hi a little bit about me Born in 1955 in Lancashire England Left school with a spirit level at 15 years old Worked on the farm till I was 19 then started Truck driving I have driven all over Uk Europe and the Middle East Always with the radio blasting out, Music has been a big part of my life, Still trucking now in Motorsport Delivering Race cars around UK Europe and beyond The pandemic gave me chance to build my own studio and start recording shows in 2020 that was the start of Show Time with Bob A Baker, First shows where for Chorley Hospital Radio. Then Galloway's Society for the Blind Then boom my shows are being played out all over the world I take recording equipment with me everywhere i go to do voice overs and recording newspapers what's going on guides i do recordings in Trucks my Motorhome Hotels and anywhere needed I have rung into Radio station to do a live OB to describe where i was in the world and what goes on in the area and country Always looking for something new and to improve my shows.

DJ CHRIS THE SHIRT

Chris "The Shirt" Elliott was brought up in SE London on a diet of Reggae, Soul, and Jim Reeves (blame his Jamaican dad for that one). He started playing on internet radio a few years back on the original Sunrise FM and since then his stations have included the now defunct Vinyl Morpher Radio, Platinum Grooves Radio of which he was part owner, He has been known to hit the floors on various dance floors at Soul Nights and of course the infamous Caister Soul Weekenders but as his got older its more of a crawl rather than a spring. Shrity's dress sense (loud shirts) and choice of football teams (Millwall) have had people questioning his sanity, but his choonz are good so we let him in lol.

My name is Sandy M

Being a child of the 70's, I began to take notice of chart music at around the age of 5 or 6 years old, which would have been the early 80's. Like many of my school friends I would be glued to the radio as often as possible hoping to hear my favourite records. I used to visit the local record shop with my mum from an early age, which is where my music collection began.

Over the years, I have collected many diverse types of music. Now I can share some of that music with you, here on your favourite station. My show includes weekly features such as.

KEITH & RUTH BRADSHAW

Keith and Ruth Bradshaw are a husband-and-wife team with a love of popular music
stretching back to the 1950s and the birth of rock n roll. For them, presenting a
weekly trip back into the music of the golden decade that shaped the face of popular
music – forever – is a labour of love!
Keith grew up in Morecambe on the Northwest Riviera. In the 1960s, it was a
bustling seaside resort frequented by the bands of the day – Beatles, Stones,
Shadows, Kinks, Hollies and more. The theatres hosted the much sought after music
package shows, featuring top American recording artists and groups. By contrast,
Ruth’s from Tushingham in rural South Cheshire.
Both are former secondary school teachers, specialising in history – nostalgia and a
feeling for the past features strongly in their programmes. Keith has also worked in
Public Relations and Journalism.
They have lived and worked in and around Leyland, Central Lancashire for 30 years
or more. Both are active members of Go on Tour (Golden Oldies), an Over-55s
entertainment group. Keith is the MC and part-time comedian, while Ruth sings and
dances.

Emma Scott

Some people have been declared as the voice of radio and certainly are part of the heart of music and both have been said of EMMA SCOTT. Radio presenter, radio plugger, a staunch supporter of independent music and plenty more besides, Emma has worked in the music industry for 34 years, stepping into its demanding but rewarding embrace from the moment she left school when she straight away entered “the dizzy heights” of a Youth Training Scheme at her local radio station in Bedford back in 1988.

From thereon in she grew to become a focal point for established and new sounds and artists, from 1990 to 2013 radio presenting with her individual style and passion and subsequently gathering thousands of radio shows under her belt across some of the UK finest radio stations including Q RADIO, HEART, POWER FM, GALAXY RADIO, HALLAM FM, and METRO FM as well as the two biggest commercial radio brands in the UK, GLOBAL RADIO and BAUER RADIO. Becoming one of the top 20 Drive Time presenters in the UK whilst at rock and metal station, KERRANG! RADIO, BBC RADIO 1 in the late 90's also approached Emma to join their presentation team, twice in fact, but sadly her “nerves got the better of her at her auditions and it wasn’t meant to be!”

2013 saw Emma take a bold move by stepping away from presenting and setting up her own radio plugging and PR Company, PLUGGIN BABY LTD. Again, she quickly put her individual stamp on the venture and has worked with hundreds of independent bands and artists, sharing, and promoting their music across Britain’s radio stations and shows and in time the vast realm of internet radio too. More than that though, she also had the energy and passion to set out to help the business grow in other areas, especially in regard to its independent scene and artists.

Pre that venture though, Emma also presented live music TV shows, hosted live gigs and events, been a voice over artist, blogger, band manager, co-ran a record label and put on live music events in Birmingham from 2006 to 2013, all experiences she took into PLUGGIN’ BABY and her wish, indeed need to help aspiring artists and bands. This aspect has seen Emma write two books, Break Your Band: A Guide to Getting Radio Airplay (2009) and If It Was My Band (First edition 2012, with an updated release coming in 2022 as a downloadable eBook.)

Never one to rest on her laurels, Emma recently undertook a Music Entrepreneur Master’s Degree, which she passed with a distinction. Her dissertation centered around teaching independent musicians how to get their own radio airplay which has led her to create YouTube videos, podcasts and to run free online webinars entitled “How to Get Radio Airplay”, all set up for artists to access as part of a radio plugging consultancy service teaching musicians how to become their own radio pluggers.

She has also returned to radio presenting, firstly with PRIMORDIAL RADIO in 2020, and now with her own brand-new syndicated radio show aligned to her YouTube channel and her “Inside the Music Industry” Facebook group where she shares helpful tips and insider information to help musicians better navigate the music industry and climb its ladder.

Whether in voice, deed or energy, EMMA SCOTT has music rushing through her veins; a passion reaping massive highlights in her career to date such as three Promoter of the Year awards at the Pure Rawk Awards in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and being declared the “Best Local Promoter” at the Live Music Business Awards in 2012. Fair to say every new day just gives Emma new opportunities to pursue and new music to support, moments she hungrily relishes as the sounds and artists she is inspired by
